HOT! HOT! HOT!

Another scorching weekend! We checked the temperature as we were driving around town and it hit 103 in Happy Valley and up to 109 elsewhere. Lots of people headed to the coast, as was evident by most of the hotels being sold out. We decided we would brave the weather and stay here.

Today was our second time at the new church Abundant Life. I snuck a photo while driving into the parking lot, as Darrall didn't want to be embarassed by the "tourist" taking a picture of the church. Megan will be going to VBS this week. She's really excited about this church. It's been great seeing her so happy about finding a church. We thought we'd be looking for a while, but it looks like its a good fit. Kind of reminds me of NewSong -- contemporary worship and service, but average age is a little older -- probably 35-40 and the music is not as lou! The lead pastor is in his early 50s and the messages are right up our alley.
